Brockley gardens presents a temporary exhbition of works by mixed media artists across the Summer of 2019.
The third in the series is an exhbition of works presented by sculptures Melloney Harvey and Bethan Wilkins.
Manipulating the tensions between positive and negative space, calcium sulphate hemihydrate is taken both physically and metaphorically, to create the domain of sculpture in a somewhat unperturbed space.
Being inspired by the concrete, interiors, the urban landscape or the general atmosphere and sentiment of the space, the artists create a stand alone monument that both barricades and beautifies an otherwise architecturally redundant space.
Both artists graduated from the BA Sculpture course at Camberwell College of Arts in 2016
