AboutThis February Gary Hume will be exhibiting a new body of work in the gallery at Roche Court. Hume first showed with the New Art Centre in 2008 with a large tilting bronze snowman, Beauty Spot which was luscious and glossy with a pink patination. Hume is renowned for his use of a bright colour palette and reduced imagery and will be taking influence from the setting of Roche Court for his new work.
Gary Hume is one of the most vital and interesting artists of his generation, a painter who also makes sculpture. Hume's recent exhibitions includeYard Work at Matthew Marks Gallery and American Tan at White Cube. Both were greeted by outstanding reviews.
