In this workshop session you will be using unwanted, second hand clothing to create a visual story of your own.
You will need to bring a few items of clothing which you will use as both material and inspiration for the wearable or non-wearable artwork. You will be introduced to weaving and encouraged to experiment with this process while considering a story, or an idea which maybe communicated in your work.
To support you in the workshop there will be demonstrations, examples of work, practical hands on and individual input. The outcome to this workshop will be led by your own making and thinking.
For all levels, including beginners. Participants will need to bring a wooden frame, some materials and scissors. List and details to be supplied nearer then time.
Lucy Brown will be in residence in the Gallery, Friday 24 – Sat 25 June, 11am – 6pm. Drop by to watch her work, and ask any questions.
