About
Over the past year, galleries have not only brought us some amazing in-person shows, but have forged new channels for digital creativity and conversation. In that spirit, during Gallery Selfie Week 2021 the ADAA wants to see all the ways galleries have connected you with the art you love—either in the past or present—from inspiring in-person visits to memorable moments on the virtual frontier.
To participate, between June 8 and 12, post an Instagram selfie of you enjoying any in-person or virtual gallery programming, such as visiting an exhibition space, posing with your favorite artwork, or joining an online artist talk, and use the tag #GallerySelfieWeek in your caption. Tagging or geotagging the gallery is highly encouraged and make sure to follow @The_ADAA!
Your tagged snapshot will be automatically entered into the Gallery Selfie Week photo contest where submissions will be spotlighted on the ADAA’s social media channels (reaching over 142K followers) and a grand-prize winner will receive a specially curated set of art books and exhibition catalogues!
