AboutTo Celebrate 40 years of Chapter, g39/WARP will be participating in an all day Art Car-Bootique. From a car parking space at the rear of the building, we invite you to join us in conversation around relationships between art, space and function, our impending relocation and how we might envisage a future g39.
What are the requirements for a multifunctional space such as WARP? How does a new space define what we should do? These discussions about space are at the root of so many conversations we have with artists and curators, through WARP and the gallery. From a draughty warehouse to a kitchen-table-top-between-meals: The shape and size of a studio or gallery has a huge effect on an artist's practice.
For our contribution to a car parking space at the back of chapter and a social space at the chapter 40th birthday weekend we invite you to join us in this conversation. We will bring a customisable, interactive model made up of modular spaces that can reflect a multitude of possible architectural spaces and concepts.
With our modular architectural model, a kettle, cake, and time to chat; we will be re-imagining g39's future, discussing studio provision where you live, or talking about how to build a practice from a tabletop.
We hope to see you there.
