This new site-specific performance by Italian artist Reverie (b. 1994) is a tribute to the Futurist movement. With a title inspired by the magazine Poesia founded by Filippo Tommaso Marinetti in 1905, it centres around The Arsonist, a poem by Aldo Palazzeschi, written in 1910. Visitors will encounter Reverie locked in a cage as they enter the Estorick Collection, and will watch her as she leaves the cage and moves through the museum, using sound and props which she has made. This incendiary and absorbing performance culminates with a ritual around a fire in the Estorick’s garden.
