Continuing the celebrations for the museum's 20th anniversary, the Estorick Collection presents “Futura Poesia”, a new site-specific performance realised by Italian artist Reverie.

This new site-specific performance by Italian artist Reverie (b. 1994) is a tribute to the Futurist movement. With a title inspired by the magazine Poesia founded by Filippo Tommaso Marinetti in 1905, it centres around The Arsonist, a poem by Aldo Palazzeschi, written in 1910. Visitors will encounter Reverie locked in a cage as they enter the Estorick Collection, and will watch her as she leaves the cage and moves through the museum, using sound and props which she has made. This incendiary and absorbing performance culminates with a ritual around a fire in the Estorick’s garden.

Tickets can be booked online or by calling 020 77049522.

About the artist REVERIE The young visual artist, born in 1994, debuted under the name Reverie on May 23, 2017. Reverie, meaning to let yourself go into a realm of fantasy in Italian, is her official birth-given middle name. Over the last few years, the eclectic performer has infused Art into every moment and action of her life. With Tuscan origins, and a resident of Vinci, she lives and works in Milan. In addition to her own projects, she often collaborates with other artists because she is interested in interpreting the point of view of others through the different forms of expression.
