About

Jane Horton is a constant gatherer of images and objects; many of her collages, mixed media works and jewellery pieces have taken years to come together. Incongruous elements sit within the landscape of the canvas, suggesting dream like worlds and creatures, and found objects often feature within her artisan jewellery pieces. As a textile artist Jane mixes traditional methods and free style embroidery, using the needle as a drawing tool, often adding poetry in stitch. With work in private collections world wide Jane has also exhibited in the UK, Europe and the US. Stanislav Mitura came to the UK from his native Slovakia in 2005 and began as a self taught photographer in 2007, exhibiting here for the first time in the UK. Stan works towards perfection within himself and in his interpretation of the urban landscape of his adopted city of Bristol, always striving to build his own personal, visual vocabulary. Vikki Yeates is an illustrator, specialising in 'Gothic Art', inspired by sinister tales and macabre stories. She graduated at Brighton University in 1994 and has exhibited recently in Brighton and Bath. She works in mixed media, oil pastel and lino ink, scratched into for a 'woodcut' appearance; also for black and white work she uses lino and scraperboard. Http://vikkiyeates.daportfolio.com Mary Rouncefield is a member of Spike Print Studio in Bristol and works mainly to produce hand-printed images using the silk screen technique; with additional works painted in oils or drawn in ink. There are many mathematical elements to her work arising from a life-long interest in the subject. Her images are full of movement fun and pattern. Already in 2011, she has had works exhibited in a national juried exhibition mounted by the Devon Guild of Craftsmen and in international print exhibitions in Cornwall and Wales. In the past her work has been selected for RWA open exhibitions in Bristol and the Jerwood Drawing Prize exhibition in London.
