London, UK - Sunflower Collective will present an evening of fundraising for humanitarian support for Ukraine at Chelsea College of Arts UAL on 27th May 2022.
On the 24th February 2022, Russia launched an unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. Since then, attacks have targeted Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mariupol, Sumy, Kherson, and other Ukrainian cities and small towns. Many innocent civilians, including children, have been killed. Nearly 5.2 million refugees have fled the country. Cities and towns are cut off from essential supplies such as food and medicines as Russian forces move to encircle them.
Sunflower Collective proudly presents an evening of art aimed at raising funds to provide urgent help to Ukraine. The fundraiser will include an evening of culture comprising a live auction, a silent auction, and a raffle of art made by more than fifty of London’s most promising emerging artists.
The fundraiser will take place at Chelsea College of Arts’ Marquee on John Islip Street SW1P 4JU from 18.00-21.00. Entry is free.
Sunflower Collective is a London based student led collaboration between Sotheby’s Institute and Chelsea College of Arts, BA Fine Art third year students. Backed by the University of Arts London, the collective was formed to lead a response to the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
