About
Palm Tree Gallery are very proud to host Gareth Wood’s (AKA Fuller) debut London exhibition of his socially insightful works on paper and new pieces that stray away from his typical style. Fuller is known for drawing intricate maps, often described as psycho-geographical, of places he has lived in. As such he observes the identity of places at a particular space in time:
“Our cities, their infinite possibilities, and frenetic energy offer a platform to observe contemporary culture and society. Drawing emotive maps provides me with the opportunity to physically explore and investigate our existence whilst making visually engaging art. They tell stories, provoke conversation and celebrate the identity of places in all their glory."
His depiction of London will be on display which spans a decade of exploration and provides a unique social commentary. The British Library have recently acquired a copy for the national collection. For further information about Fuller see www.fullermaps.com/about
This is a rare opportunity to see Fuller's original works.
