Friday Salon : Defining Contemporary

In light of the current Bloomberg New Contemporaries exhibition and in conjunction with the MA in the Contemporary delivered in partnership with the University of Kent and the ICA, this Salon questions the notion of ‘contemporary'. Covering a range of disciplines including art, design, poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction and the essay, as well as key ideas in contemporary theory and philosophy, the Salon will reveal how creative thinkers and practitioners working within these fields are responding to the present period, and how their work illuminates and reflects current cultural concerns.
