Join us on the first day of our new exhibition for an informal introduction to Empire over tea and biscuits with photographer Jon Tonks.
About
The event continues the culinary tradition observed on the RMS St Helena, the only Royal Mail Ship still in service and a lifeline to the remote island St Helena, which Tonks travelled on numerous times throughout his six year project.
Jon will discuss his experiences of travelling to each island, the places he has visited throughout the project and the people he has met along the way.
Empire is a fascinating journey, six years in the making, exploring life on four remote British overseas territories; Ascension Island, St Helena, Tristan da Cunha and the Falkland Islands.
Free event, no booking required
