The subtitle of the exhibition is a quote: "You play this game, which is said to hail from China. And I tell you that what Paris needs right now is to welcome that which comes from far away. (Der Grillentöter / L'Ammazzagrilli)".

About

As a short form one could also use the keyword, which is based on the research of the Italian-born and Berlin-based artist Ingrid Hora: "freizeyt" or "leisure time".

In freizeyt, Ingrid Hora probes the blurring boundaries between work and leisure. With an eye to how the productive management of free time has developed in the modern age, she explores organizations and spaces of recreation that simultaneously function as sites of encounter – the club, allotment garden and sport yard. Both her sculptures, which evoke sport and play equipment, and her video works will transform the DAZ into a gym of “passing time.”

The exhibition is curated by Emanuele Guidi (Artistic Director ar/ge kunst, Bolzano).

For the opening on 1 December 2015 at 7 p.m., Ingrid Hora, Emanuele Guidi and DAZ Artistic DirectorMatthias Böttger will speak. In addition, the men’s choir of Völs am Schlern from South Tyrol will give a performance.

Choreographer Claudia Tomasi will develop a dance performance in the exhibition space. She will go in search of the spatial sense of leisure, inviting visitors to join her in creating a collective archive of movements. Choreography: Claudia Tomasi. Dramaturgical accompaniment: Elisa Ricci
