About

Lewisham Arthouse presents the TRACK PROJECT, a series of free workshops for young people exploring movement, running throughout Summer and Autumn at Lewisham Arthouse. An opportunity for young people to work with professional artists to develop and strengthen creative skills, working in a variety of media, including: animation, drawing, dance, sculpture and sound. Artwork from this project will form an exciting exhibition in The Arthouse Gallery, later in 2012 The first two workshops will take place on 26 May 2012 under the title INTERLOCKING: Morning session 5-10 years, 10am - 12.30pm Afternoon session 10-15 years, 2pm - 4.30pm Using the Olympics as a creative springboard and a fun word association game, each participant will contribute to a giant storyboard. Participants will experiment with sculptural materials, words, movement and sound in this exciting workshop taught by professionals. This is a unique opportunity to explore different creative disciplines and how they relate to each other in an energetic and imaginative environment. Working as a team and individually your creations will be displayed to the public at The Arthouse Gallery on 27th May. Gain skills and have fun at The Arthouse!
