Exhibition of English painter and engraver Frederick Marriott with the Arnold Bennett Society.
About
Barewall art gallery in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent along with the Arnold Bennett Society are pleased to exhibit for sale engravings by English painter Frederick Marriott.
Marriott was a famous artist and life-long friend of English literary great Bennett here you will see up close the skill of the artist through his engravings of romantic nocturne locations across Europe, many of which he would have visited with Arnold.
All works are signed and in their existing original frames with labels to verso, all excellent condition. Re-live the early 20th century through the eyes of these two friends and their artwork, handled by the artist.
This exhibition is not only in Stoke on Trent the original birthplace of Marriott but also the location of Bursley one of the Five Towns made so famous in Bennett’s novels.
Opening on Saturday 24th March in Barewall Studio whilst works are available.
