YUGOSLAVIA, HOW IDEOLOGY MOVED OUR COLLECTIVE BODY, Serbia/Fr/D, documentary, 2013, feature, 62min, director: Marta Popivoda, original with English subtitles
A very personal perspective on the history of socialist Yugoslavia, its dramatic end, and its recent transformation into a few democratic nation states.
THE LIFE AND DEATH OF A PORN GANG, Serbia 2009, feature, 93min, direcotr: Mladen Dordevic, original with english subtitles
A grimly nihilistic morality play/horror film that takes place within the disreputable demimonde of the Serbian porn industry. From the POV of the main character, a failed, angry filmmaker, the exploitative nature of the porn business becomes a potent metaphor for social relations in Serbia since the fall of Slobodan Milosevic in 2000.
