'Four Floods'

Hermit Editions is proud to present 'Four Floods' - an exhibition of innovative new print featuring work by contemporary artists that actively involve themselves in the process of printmaking. Six established and emerging artists were set an open brief to generate new artwork especially designed for screen print, using a restricted palate of pink, blue, yellow, and black. The artists were encouraged to explore and challenge the possibilities of the process, clever use of layering and half-tone allows extra colours and exciting effects to be created. The exhibition will consist of the first edition of each series from the eclectic collection of international artists; Dan Sparkes (UK), Heretic (UK), Otecki (PL), Sarah King (UK), The Pit (FR) and Joe Wilson (UK). This Hermit Editions project takes a refreshing look at silk-screen printing, reconnecting with the hands-on, immersive process and the tactile qualities of a hand pulled print. The prints in this exhibition will form the forthcoming collection by Hermit Editions, an online boutique specialising in limited edition artworks and multiples. The artwork was all produced in-house and there are regular updates on the Hermit Blog following our progress in the print studio.
