This May, Fortnum & Mason are pleased to present a unique curation of multidisciplinary works by Chris Levine from 30th April till 2nd June 2019.
About
Works that have been exhibited in The National Portrait Gallery, Kensington Palace, The Eden Project and The Royal Opera House will now be on display in our intimate 3’6 Bar for all to enjoy.
Levine will showcase a selection of his best known pieces, spanning his acclaimed portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Kate Moss and Paul Smith, to more recent experimental light works and unique silkscreen cross prints.
Chris Levine’s work is instantly recognisable. While not only featuring a cast of familiar faces, Levine uses light in both a profound and unique way that instantly sets his work apart. He is best known for producing one of the most iconic portraits of the 21st Century – Lightness of Being – of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, a three-dimensional portrait that he crafted in 2004. Among other portraits of figures such as Kate Moss and Paul Smith, Levine has worked on numerous projects across multiple disciplines to become a pioneering British artist.
Additionally, join us at Fortnum & Mason on Tuesday 14th May to celebrate the launch of Fortnum’s X Chris Levine.
