About
This exhibition is a burst of visual energy which engages both the emotions and the intellect.
Artist/curator Terry Beard has invited a select group of artists to join her in revealing their core concerns. The result is an inventive and vigorous investigation into the human condition and the world we inhabit.
There is an astonishing breadth of subject matter on display here; identity and displacement, the way mind and body work in unison, how we connect within one another in the urban landscape, the shaping of the land over time, internal and geographic fault lines, the way that memories and dreams break into the presence of nature, invisible inner spaces and the symbolic and aesthetic value of insects are a few of the themes explored in this thought provoking and resonant exhibition.
Ceramics, painting and a variety of printmaking techniques feature in this two week show. Whatever your tastes and interests, there will be something here to catch your attention and activate your imagination.
