Breath of nature closed in subtle frames. The story about secret forest life.
About
Series of paintings and sculptures inspired by nature.
Paintings depict over-scaled lichens and mosses. They become the world of mysterious and mystical colours and shapes. We cannot recognize them at first because we are not used to seeing this silhouettes so close and in that size. Some of the paintings appear as realistic parts but some of them are completely abstract. They explore organic architecture and surface to left a viewer with feelings of peace and depth.
These organisms are the allegory of new beginnings – it’s the story about this moment in our lives when we all need to determine new worths and try to look at the life from different perspective. To grow something new over the old remnants – to grow our own lichens and mosses and recreate world full of new values. This is what can remind that human is also part of nature – and nature will find a way to fix everything that is broken and make it even more beautiful than before.
Sculptures are another level of the subject. This is an attempt to preserve real parts of the forest and way to keep them close – to have it as own piece of nature like a jewellery. A small size of the cubes builds the contrast to massive paintings. It's a great possibility to compare them and understand it's meaning.
