A 30 minutes audio journey in the site-specific installation to be viewed as a single individual.
You are a visitor and a host, the subject and the gaze, a resident and a migrant in this place simultaneously; a place no one else remembers but you.
About
● Ting-Ting Cheng ● LOA Nomination #1 ► Audio trailer
The ever-changing city welcomes us with familiar yet alienating stimulants. The voice of the audio recording speaks to participants as a guide or a storyteller. By quoting from Mr. Ma and Son (1929, Lao She), the voice switches between the roles of a reader and a writer of the narrative, the journey quickly overlaps into our own story and the stories of the city. You are a visitor and a host, the subject and the gaze, a resident and a migrant in this place simultaneously; a place no one else remembers but you.
Viewers are invited to experience this piece as a single individual.
►Booking for the journey is highly recommended
