About
For A Long Moment brings together new work from 12 artists on the 2020/21 Fine Art Mentoring course run by Erika Winstone at Morley College. It features an exciting and thought-provoking selection of drawing, painting, sculpture, photography and mixed media; the first exhibition to be held in the newly re-designed and extended gallery near Waterloo.
The course aims to form a bridge between being a student and independent practice, through a year of mentoring where students work in their own studios but are supported through tutorials, workshops and artists’ talks. They forge a strong creative community, culminating in the organisation of every aspect of their final exhibition. This year has proved especially challenging and despite rarely meeting face-to-face, their success is particularly impressive due to the immense support they have given each other online throughout the course.
