Exhibitions:
We will be holding two exciting exhibitions showcasing our students work, with The City Lit Sculpture end of year show at the Crypt gallery in Eustin 17th-23rd July , the private view will be on Thursday 20th July from 6-9pm. This will be showcasing work from the City Lit year long Sculpture course.
An internal show will be held in the City Lit foyer showcasing a selection of student work from across the sculpture department from the 8th to the 29th July.

Experimental sculpture workshop -Tutor/Artist Shelley Wilson

If you have ever wanted to have a go at sculpting, join in on this fun workshop designed to get you making . Get hands-on in this experimental sculpture session. Sculpture artist and tutor, Shelley Wilson, will give you a theme to respond to and inspire you to create a 3D sculpture using clay to take away with you.
Careers in art: Prop making for Film, TV and Theatre talk

Professional prop maker and tutor, Wendy Chandler presents a talk and slide show about her career in the prop making industry. Wendy will talk about her work and what’s involved in being a professional prop maker. Wendy has a wealth of experience in prop making for film, theatre , TV, display and photography and has taught the subject to a high level at a range of art schools.
Essential for those with an interest in sculpture or 3D design who are wishing to find out about career opportunities in the field.
The talk concludes with a Q&A session . All welcome.
A sculptor’s Talk: Shelley Wilson

Fine artist Shelley Wilson talks about her own practice in sculpture and photography. Shelley will discuss two of her completely diverse collaborations , looking at the research, ideas development and the making of the final work.
‘Body Politic’
The artwork Investigates the unprecedented event when 150 Members of Parliament stepped down or retired at the 2010 General Election in the mist of the Expenses Scandal and Chilcot Enquiry.
‘Self Contained’
In collaboration with Dr. Justin Sauer ( consultant psychiatrist Kings College London). This artwork investigates the impact of dementia , the carer and the loss of identity of the sufferer within the family unit.
