'Fly' by Jessica Williams

Jessica has been a busy bee since she graduated in 2006-working on a variety of illustration and graphic design campaigns for names including Topshop, Harvey Nichols, and Manchester favourites Trof amongst others. The work in this show is a testament to the Artist's hard work in developing a body of multimedia artworks separate to her working projects. Jessica's background in textile design, embroidery, and illustration all feed into her drawings to nurture her quirky style. Intricate, colourful and playful-the drawings and prints in this collection are born from a hands-on approach to art-making. Medium and platform are non-specific to Jessica, her inspiration comes from the abundant colours and patterns that can be discovered in the day to day. Whether this manifests in a digital print or a stitched textile, the artist says ‘it all begins and ends with drawing'.
