About
The line as space of movement, is path as well as point. Elio Graziano’s painting makes use of it as a type line. Energetically it pursues its gestural shape on paper and canvas, expressively blazing a trail: Layer by layer, drop by drop, riddled with elements of collage and frottage. Driven by the methodical objective of free association, a central aspect of his work consists of the simultaneity of cohering elements. Without giving up the momentum of his play of colours, his painting and poetry gives rise to details that unfold uncontrollably in front of our inner eye. “Flowers will cover everything”, floral still lives will be searched for in vain.
