This a show of work by James Cockburn that includes drawings, paintings, and ceramics. All the work in the show is new and never been shown before.
About
James Cockburn studied Fine Art at St Martin's School of Art in the 1970s.
Of James Cockburn's recent work , the drawings are made in indian ink using a stick to draw with, the watercolours are colourful and the ceramics are slipware, (earthenware fired and glazed)
The drawings are made in front of the motif, spontaneously, sometimes developed later. The paintings are made either from the drawings or 'en plein air' or both.
The ceramics are made for use in the kitchen / dining room.
