Fleshy Magic brings together artists Jazmin Donaldson, Araceli Gómez Castro, Flora Bradwell and Maria Konder in a heady mix of sensual materiality. Working across painting, sculpture and installation these artists explore touch, magic, femininity and contemporary myth making. Each artist in their own way dissects female archetypes. In her narrative infused paintings Jazmin Donaldson investigates women’s shifting role in contemporary society and the subjectivity of the female psyche. Anti-system witchcraft, performance auto-ethnography and collective experiences all go into the making of Araceli Gómez Castro's hyper-sensual sculptures. Meanwhile Flora Bradwell's fictional worlds are populated by vagina dentata creatures adorned with clitoris eyeballs, rich in narrative and psychoanalytical symbolism. Maria Konder's sculptures focus on the objectification of the female form as well as new possible futures in the intersection of matriarchal mythologies and their reinterpretation. This seductive exhibition playfully invites you to subvert patriarchal narratives and remake your own story.
