FLATPACK FESTIVAL: Planning for Play

About

Saturday 14th 14:00pm Free Entry Dir. Various Birmingham-based artists Simon & Tom Bloor have selected a series of films as a response to 'As long as it lasts', their largest solo exhibition to date, as well as highlighting the interests and thought processes of their wider art practice. Films include House: Five Years of Living (dir: Charles and Ray Eames, 1955), La Jetee (dir: Chris Marker, 1962) and Associations (dir: John Smith, 1975) as well as more recent work by Marc Bijl and Damon Packard. 'As long as it lasts' consists of a body of new works inspired by the artists' interest in (public) modernist sculpture and flawed utopias set amongst an indoor grove of Silver Birch trees. Running at Eastside Projects from 21 February to 4 April 2009.
