Join us for the closing party of Discoveries, our exhibition of artworks by recently graduated artists from London's top art schools.

About

Gallery directors Francesca Fiumano and Andrés Clase have scouted emerging artists from Royal Academy Schools, Slade School of Art and University of the Arts London and exhibited the works by an artist who has graduated from each institution.

German artist and recent Royal Academy Schools graduate Marianne Thoermer boldly blends traditional techniques of composition and unconventional materials. On display is a selection of works from her “States of Affairs” series. These are vibrantly coloured MDF monoprints involving varying media.

Marijke Keyser is a Seattle-based American artist, based in London and Seattle. Having recently graduated from the Slade School of art with an MFA Fine Art, Keyser is continuing to develop her practice which has its basis in her personal relationship to landscape. Her installation Time Thicket, a work of 8 ceramic bells each playing a different sound, is on display at the gallery.

Artist Xuesen Liu is an artist whose desire to rebel against cultural expectation and pursuit of the unconventional has produced fascinating results which are now on display at Fiumano Clase. He is a recent graduate of Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London. His mixed media installation, Genesis, includes sculpture and video. In the video, a male figure wields a long ceremonial sword and swings it with force towards a Singing bowl, pausing and contacting the bowl only lightly.

We would love for you to join us at the finissage for Discoveries, celebrating the works of these brilliant artists.
