Finn Stone returns to the Woolff Gallery this Spring with his new solo show: Re-Mastered.
About
This exhibition features an exclusive collection of Stone’s much sought after Old Master’s which he has re-worked using found artists tools and brushes. From Hopper’s ‘Nighthawks’, to a contemporary take on Monet’s ‘Water-Lily Pond’, Stone presents us with a fascinating and skilled set of works with a certain familiarity to them.
Stone’s artworks are often tongue-in-cheek, and laced with humour. Known internationally for his ‘ball-chair’ & product-design, Stone is also one of the UK’s leading makers of fibreglass furniture. Stone consistently demonstrates an extraordinary level of enthusiasm and energy, and appears to have an inexhaustible reserve of inspiration which can result in the most unusual and diverse artwork created from a multitude of disciplines.
‘Great things are not done by impulse, but by a series of small things being brought together’. FINN STONE
