About

Finn Richard's painting is slow and contemplative. He fails to explain the background to it for his artistic goal, the painting is per se; Without messages or programs, the image should not carry anything and more than itself.

Motivically we are usually found in a human nature with water and light and shadow reflections in water mirrors, stones and sand and trees that are used as the starting point for the depiction of its own since topography: The painting is a projection for dreams and performances, but the starting point is always a concrete observation.

There is a clean instrumental side of the water that interests Finn Richardt. In part, he tries to master the element purely by the craft, but water also expresses volatility, impotence, and plays a vital role in our lives. Richardt is concerned with the changeable, transparent, present and deadly aspect of water. And see the fact that the water continues to challenge because of its many layers.

In the past ten years, only sparse traces of culture or human life have appeared in Richard's images. He does not want distracting elements and instead seeks a doublet in the water's mirroring. Richardt paints it's mirroring and lets the horizontal line disappear outside the image. That's how we get into the mirror and there's no doubt what's the reality, what is mirroring and mirroring on mirrors. What is true and false. What is the picture and what is the reality that appears in the uncertain.
