'Finding Solace' offers a critical exploration of modern existence, characterized by the relentless interplay of digital and physical, real and virtual dimensions.

Slash Arts Gallery boat provides a unique domestic space that serves as a contemporary sanctuary, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in an experience that offers respite from the turmoil of the digital age. The exhibition includes a series of new media artworks and ritualistic performances:

-          A collection of film shorts encouraging introspective dialogue that urge us to ponder our existence and the liberating power of self-awareness in a setting where life, entangled with sociotechnical systems, often feels like a non-stop performance devoid of sincere questioning.

-          A dance performance by Jiayi Fan @itsallaboutyvonne, Ke Peng @pppunko, and Anqi @angeldeng_ : ‘Petrichor’  is a contemporary dance work that delves into our relationship with the environment and nature through Zen philosophy. It emerges from the relentless tension within modern society, echoing the struggle of finding solace amidst a chaotic, crisis-ridden world. This performance mirrors the Chinese idiom “Fishing for the moon in the water,” reflecting our futile endeavours in the face of modern challenges. Through breathing, feeling, living, thinking, observing, and listening, Petrichor explores the intricate connections within our world, seeking serenity amidst discord.
