As part of Wellbeing and Creativity Week 2023, we will be enjoying The Secret of Kells, a beautiful animated adventure about the magic of creativity.
The story follows Brendan, a young monk in medieval Ireland who defies eis strict uncle, the Abbot Cellach, in helping prepartions of a fortress for an impending Viking attack. Brendan works as an apprentice with dedicated group of artists creating the Book of Kells, the illuminated manuscript of the gospels dating from the 9th century. As the Vikings approach, revered illuminator Aidan arrives at the monastery and recruits Brendan to complete a series of dangerous, magical tasks.
