The film shows are a series of seven solo exhibitions that will take place over the course of one week at 79a Brick Lane, a new project space set up by Martin Creed and David Southard in the first floor flat where Creed used to live. The artists, Olivier Castel, Jenifer Evans, Justin Jaeckle, Kazimierz Jankowski, Richard John Jones, Rachel Pimm and Patrick Shier, all live and work in London and graduated from London art schools within the last four years. Each artist has chosen a feature film, the visuals of which will be projected in the main room of the flat, whilst the soundtrack will be played separately in a second smaller room. The artists will show work, which will include sculpture, installation, video, painting and performance in both these spaces. Each exhibition will start at 8pm and finish when the film ends.
