Ursula Mayer, London-based artist filmmaker and winner of the 2014 Derek Jarman Award for radical filmmaking, creates cinematic works that are rich in historical resonance.
About
This screening includes Mayer’s recent films Medea (2013) and Gonda(2012), alongside the short works Last Hours of Ancient Sunlight (2010) and Cinesexual (2013). Mayer’s work often challenges gender boundaries and expectations resulting in complex and autonomous statements, or even speculations, on the contemporary human condition.
This screening is presented as part of the ICA Moving Image Network.
