At DAS ESSZIMMER the model of a Cinema is set up in which Helga Fanderl will present a programme composed of Super8 films – FILM LIVE, how she calls it, during the end of the exhibition.
The exhibition FILM LIVE shows film as film and therefore the screening itself as the central theme. That means the operating of the film-projector, the change of the film rolls, the focusing of the image and the adjustment of the splice position, the programme introduction by the artist as well as the following conversations about her films become a performative act and at the same time part of the shown Super8 programme.
