Fig. 2 and Fig.3 are part of the new program of events at David Roberts Art Foundation. The series explores how knowledge and research can be co-produced through innovative formats for talks, conferences or book presentations. Fig.2: Studies of a Collection is a short self-reflective project, which considers the David Roberts Collection in its structural dynamics, revealing the movements of art works (loans, acquisitions) and their positions in the collection. It will feature a number of artworks together with the archive attached to them, to manifest how the collection is used. The project is accompanied, disrupted, complexified by Fig.3 running alongside it, curated by Anca Rujoiu and Stefanie Hirsch, inviting artists to reconsider the verbal rituals, iconography, and gestural manifestations that establish, prolong, and disrupt interaction.
