Felting a Textile Landscape

  Valérie offers a full day workshop creating Felted Landscapes and will take you through the creative steps and the wet felting techniques she uses when creating her own artwork.

  Each participant works from their chosen starting point such as a photograph, sketch, magazine tear, etc to inspire their piece. Gradually you will develop your artwork applying wool fibres, silk threads, fabrics inserts as you would paint. At the end of the day, you can can expect to take away with you a finished felted piece, which can also be further embellished if you so wish to.

  All the necessary materials and equipment required are provided, along with lots of photos and magazines for inspiration. Workshop groups will be limited to 6 participants maximum, so Valérie can provide 1:1 guidance throughout the day.

  You do not need any previous experience of felting, just a desire to delve into your creative inner self (and we all have one, just need a nudge to find it sometimes!). Come and join us for a fab day of creativity and produce some amazing textile work.​​​

  The course starts on Saturday morning at 10am, with a delicious home cooked meal at 12. An afternoon tea will be provided and the day finishes at 4pm. 

  Please check our website for our recommended places to stay. If you wish to stay on site, we have 2 double bedrooms with B&B, a 4m bell tent which can be rented or you may bring your own tent. These will be charged at an extra cost, prices on application. There is on site parking for all.
