From November 14, 2021 to January 30, 2022, CRAC Alsace presents Fascination, a solo exhibition by Benjamin Seror, with the participation of Binta Diaw, Ru Kim, Yan Li, Sohyun Park, curated by Elfi Turpin.
About
Benjamin Seror (1979, Lyon) creates installations and performances that result from his reflections on story writing and transmission, questioning the potential mise-en-scène of our memory, both real and fictional. Music—and song in particular—often takes the role of a critical and narrative tool within his performances, which draw elements from either concerts, conferences or operas.
At CRAC Alsace, Benjamin Seror presents an exhibition of songs: a happy musical work gathering a series of sad songs that were written, recorded and mixed by the artist, installed in the art center’s galleries.
For his exhibition, the artist displays his sound-, video-, and object-based installation alongside the work of four young artists whom he met during their time at École supérieure d'art et design de Grenoble: Binta Diaw (1995, Italy), Ru Kim (1995, Germany), Yan Li (1988, China) and Sohyun Park (1991, Korea).
