Haunt invites you to join us again for the revelation of July's featured artist. This month we are proud to announce our featured artist is Farrukh Hyder presenting his ‘Face to Face’ cabaret photography series.

About

>PERSONAL STATEMENT: I have been a reluctant photographer for much of my life. Photography has never been my absolute passion and the camera has never been my constant companion - I was once content to keep it stored away for a period of 10 years.

When the impulse has been there, I have photographed everything from Formula 1 to flowers. However, from an early age I have been drawn towards the unconventional (without meaning to sound pretentious), with a particular interest in the Gothic, the occult, in the macabre, in death and decay. All of these conveniently manifest themselves in London’s vibrant underground cabaret and fetish scene. This is where I met many immensely talented people, some of whom I am now proud to call friends. Without them this exhibition would not have taken place.

>CABARET AND VINTAGE SONGS FROM FRED SNOW
Fred Snow is the frontman of the band, ‘Prinz Friedrich’, and can also be seen with The Top Shelf Band & Le Bistrotet. He was forged on the Underground scenes of Britain & Europe and has been party to some weird shit already. But Fred is sometimes known to do stand-up comedy in addition to his cabaret characters, ‘Arthur Foxaque’, ‘Chairman Now!’ & ‘Harris N. Fraud’, besides singing in Polish & Russian (badly!).

He has not only written & recorded original material for TV & movie soundtracks, but has travelled across the world with his own music, bands & solo acts, having been booked to appear with such luminaries as Camille O’Sullivan, Paul O’Grady, Paloma Faith, Kid Creole, Lana Del Rey, Jessie J., Brian Ferry, & the Buena Vista Social Club!
