About
Explore some of the themes in our latest exhibition ‘Mohammad Barrangi: One Night, One Dream, Life in the Lighthouse’ at this immersive dance event.
Featuring words, movement and sound, this performance merges the essence of water with childhood memories and dreams. Drawing inspiration from Persian mythology and Alavi's own recollections of her experiences by the sea in the North of Iran, it crafts a poignant narrative that explores themes around migration.
The performance is the result of a creative collaboration between Mahshid Alavi, an Iranian artist residing in Leeds, and Ozzy Moysey, the composer and band leader of Ancient Infinity Orchestra, who is also based in Leeds.
The performance will be followed by Q&A session with the artists.
This event is part of Foxglove’s city-wide Smeaton300 programme.
