About
25 July 2015, 1-3pm
Join us in our gallery space for a family workshop led by artist Andrew Gillespie as part of the Warwick Bar Summer Fete. Workshop participants will get the chance to create their own unique artwork using printing and collage techniques and a range of materials. The workshop will draw on some of the themes of our current exhibition, Fay Nicolson: Over and Over Pure Form.
In her work Fay combines silk-screen stencils with paint to develop a visual language of gestures and marks derived from photographs of rippled fabric, isolated limbs or digital brush marks. These are combined in different variations on unstretched canvas to create works that are reminiscent of textiles, abstract paintings or visual scores.
This workshop is free to attend and suitable for all ages, just drop in.
