Opening with the New American Garden is an intimate exhibition of fourteen portrait busts by British sculptor Angela Conner.
About
Angela has a dual career as the designer of large and imposing abstract kinetic sculptures moved by natural forces, which have been placed in prominent public spaces in the UK, Europe, South America, Australia, and the United States. Her portraiture already features at the American Museum in the form of a larger than life bust of Abraham Lincoln.
The busts in this show, from the 15 September to the 28 October, reflect the Anglo-American origins of the American Museum, founded by an Englishman and an American and continuing to strive to generate close ties between our two countries.
