All works in this exhibition are made with material found in the artist's spam filter. The messages making up the white vinyl text on the window and on scrunched up plastic sheeting inside of the gallery, speak to us in false emotion, aiming to lure us into buying or signing up to something. Of course we are all used to automated e-mails. Yet, it's surprising how they occasionally perplex us. Hess's practice investigates what this says about our own written communications.
