EXPLOSION

About

The nature's explosion is splendidly beautiful and at times, mighty and frightening. Youngsun Park attempted to express both bright and dark sides of nature's explosion by incorporating pictures of the sea and city. Dazzling city full of glittering light is attractive, however city created by destruction of nature somehow exhibits emotions of guilt. Sea features silent impression but inner form within the silence is mighty and sometimes dreadful. Here, I manifest other undiscovered aspects of the city and sea by taking snap shots of their partial cuts and collating them with completely separate pictures. Observing original sections become sections of another and several pictures integrating to make up one complete picture is somewhat similar to discovering undiscovered self-images every moment and progressing to consummate myself."
