Meryl AInslie MA will lead this Experimental Drawing Summer School week. It is a great opportunity to get out and about, find new ‘ways of seeing’ and seek fresh inspiration.
About
Over four days of experimental drawing, preparing multi - sensory sketchbooks, a facinating visit to the Pitt Rivers Museum, Oxford, working in the landscape to make a 360 degree panoramic landscsape sketchbook taking in the far reaching views of from one of Wiltshires most beautiful vista's. Meryl will be joined on day 3 by Nik Pollard RCA who will bring his specialist natural history knowledge to an 'up close' micro landscape sketchbook session on Cherhill Downs. We will use a multi –sensory approach to challenge our perceptions of object, place and space, developing your ideas in the drawing studio.
A multi-disciplinary approach to drawing underpins Meryl Ainslie’s practice. She will encourage the investigation of drawing as a direct and indirect language, its role as a fine art discipline and mode to the development of other works.
The course is individually tailored and therefore suitable for beginners and for those with experience. You will receive individual and group tuition.
