Phil Grabsy Presents: Exhibition Munch 150

About

Award-winning arts documentary maker Phil Grabsky's ground-breaking project to connect major exhibitions from across the world with over 200,000 people in cinemas come to Ropetackle. This year, Norway celebrates the 150th anniversary of the birth of Edvard Munch. Already hailed as a once-in-a-lifetime show global interest is huge, especially after one of his four The Scream paintings recently sold for a record $120 million. Our film will be the ideal way to experience the show — if you can't get there in person — and will provide a detailed biography of the man behind The Scream. For this screening, director Ben Harding will step-in for Phil Grabsky to do the Q&A session. Ben not only directed the entire Exhibition film series alongside Grabsky, but has over 50 broadcast credits to his name, specialising in arts programmes, making him a brilliant addition to this fascinating night. Phil Grabsky's Exhibition Series: Manet: Portraying Life, Tues 10th September Munch 150, Tues 15th October Vermeer & Music: The Art Of Love & Leisure, Tues 26th November
