About
Sidcot Arts Centre presents a collaborative exhibition entitled “Connective Tissue” by Somerset artists Mark, Tracy and Kate Nesbit. Expect large, textural abstract artworks from Mark, conceptual mixed-media sculptures from Tracy, and emotive digital film from daughter Kate.
Both Mark and Tracy currently practise in Somerset, Tracy for 17 years and Mark for 9. After participating in a number of group exhibitions, Mark and Tracy decided to take control of their destiny and mounted their first major solo exhibition “Physical and Metaphysical Expressions” at Ilminster Art Centre in 2013, followed a year later by “Mark & Tracy Nesbit” at The Octagon Gallery Space in Yeovil.
Kate is a multi-disciplined artist who works across a broad range of fields and media from representation to conceptual. Her most successful and acknowledged work combines digital video with powerful emotive themes and concepts.
This show will also form part of North Somerset Arts Week (NSAW) which takes place between the 1st and 10th May 2015. For more details about the trail please visit northsomersetarts.org.
