In Carol’s words: “My primary interest is in colour and the way it’s affected by changing light. I paint mostly scenes which include water, since I’m intrigued by the extra changes, of movement and reflectivity, which happen here. I’ve lived on four islands, and by the sea in three of them, so I’ve had plenty of opportunity to study coastal environments.” Carol Owen
