“exhale” is a solo exhibition by Stéphane Pellennec, analogue photographer from Brittany, France living and working in Finland.

About

Stéphane’s work captures the experience of facing the vastness of landscape and the seemingly limitless water masses. His predominantly black and white images reflect the fluctuations of light, clouds and air, portraying nature not as a background for human activity, but as a living and dynamic entity.

The Finnish word that Stéphane uses to interpret his work, Äärettömyys, means “without edge, without limit, this is what we know as infinity in English language.

I have the feeling that at least during the laps of a moment, we all can touch the infinity. It's all happening now, the great adventure of the universe, we are part of it, as atoms, particles turning around. We are the universe. During a lapse of a click, I try to record those moments with my camera.”

You can find Stéphane’s photographs on his page and facebook
