Euphonia is an interactive sound installation based on artist Emma Smith’s research into the musicality of human communication.

About

Written like a game of consequences -where any part can seamlessly play into the next – the musical score provides around 2,200 years of unique sound, the order of which is determined by those present. In this way, the work invites visitors to become part of the installation; to add their own voices to the space and, in doing so, to author the score itself. Euphonia celebrates all voices as musical and sees music as inherent to human communal life.
